Obituary for Michele Lynn Boebert

Michele “Shelly” Boebert, 57, of Enoch, Utah, died July 4, 2020. Shelly was born August 22, 1962 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she resided until she was 16 when the family moved to Las Vegas. She lived in Las Vegas until 2002 with the exception of a couple years in Maryland. In 2002 she moved to Enoch, Utah.

While living in Enoch she began working for the City of Enoch moving up to Assistant Public Works Director. Shelly struggled with chronic pain from an injury in her 20’s but it never stopped her from always going above and beyond in her duties. If there was something to get done, she did it and more. Nothing was ever mediocre for her. Shelly became the “Mama Bear” to all her male co-workers and loved them like her own. She also treated them like her own, scolding them one minute and serving them the next. All the employee’s for the City of Enoch became her second family and her first family would like to thank each and every one of them for that.

Shelly loved her family more than anything and there is nothing she wouldn’t have done for them. She is survived by her two sons and their spouses, Jayson and Lauren Boebert of Silt, Co. Grandsons, Tyler, Brody, Kaydon and Roman. Joshua and Jessica Boebert of Tooele, Ut. Granddaughters, Harlee, Skylar, Logan and Parker. She was very proud of the men her sons became and the women they chose to mother her grandkids that meant the world to her. On almost every wall in her home were pictures of them. They kept her going until the end. She is also survived by two sisters and two brothers, Laura Larson (Patrick) of Enoch, Ut, Renee Long (Laurence) of Las Vegas, NV, Dan Hodgson (Lynn) of WI, David Hodgson (Jamie) of WI. Next are her 14 nieces and nephews that absolutely adored her. She loved them unconditionally and without judgment. A part of her family's hearts was taken when she left this world but we know as stubborn as she was, and if you knew her, I don’t think there was anyone more stubborn, she will not let us walk this earth without her.

Shelly is preceded in death by her mother, Maureen Lucas, the man she called dad, Herbert Lucas and her brother, Daryl Hodgson.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor in Enoch at Liberty Park, 15 E. Midvalley Rd. July 17 from 6pm-9pm. As part of her job, she designed this park. She was very proud of it and would love to drive by and see people enjoying what she put her heart and soul into. Her family welcomes any person that ever came in contact with her, friends, co-workers, vendors, etc., to join us in celebrating her life.
