Obituary for Clara F Bronder

Clara F. Bronder, age 83, passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer’s and Dementia on March 23,
2021, in Cedar City Utah. She was born on August 27, 1937 in Clovis, California to Charles and Maria
DeLuca.
Clara grew up in the small town of Clovis, CA before moving to Las Vegas, Nevada where she met and
married the love of her life, William M. Bronder. She raised her five children and worked for Bishop
Gorman High School for 28 years. Clara was an avid bowler most of her adult life. She also played
softball on an all-women’s adult team. She was the 11 th of 12 siblings and later in life she found out that
she had a half-brother in Italy.
Bill and Clara lived an active life of hiking, biking, and camping. Both loved the outdoors. She was a
devote Catholic and one of the sweetest women you would ever meet. Bill called her “sweetie” as he
was so devoted to her. Theirs was a true love story. They were so happy together, and you never saw
them apart. Bill passed away 4 weeks prior to Clara. We believe she died of a broken heart and she just
needed to be with Bill.
Clara was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, William M. Bronder, her father and mother,
Charles and Maria DeLuca, 6 of her siblings, 2 sister-in-law’s, and 3 brother-in-law’s, her daughter Terri
Ann Clark, son Stephen Clark, and her granddaughter, Heather Taylor.
She is survived by her daughters Kim (Tim) Baker, Mary (Mick) Gillins and her son, William Clark Jr. Step-
sons, Steven (Rebecca) Bronder, and David (Jana) Bronder, 13 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter,
and her 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
