Obituary for Deanna Lee Young (Gardner)
Deanna Lee Gardner Young (“DD”) age 52 of Cedar City passed away April 30, 2021. DD was born July 29, 1968 to Dee Ray and Sharon Gardner. She married Paul Young on December 3, 2014. DD was sealed to Paul on July 28, 2018 in the Manti Temple. Survived by Husband - Paul Young of Cedar City, Son Stephen LeGrande Buchannon (Rebecca), Tooele, Mother - Sharon Gardner (Rush Valley), Siblings - Barry (Diane), Raelynn (Stephen), Brian (Gloria), Kary, Dana (Liz) and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her father (Dee Ray Gardner), grandparents and sister in law (Ronda).
DD was one of the most caring people that you could ever meet. She was the kind of person that would make sure that everyone else around her was taken care of. She loved them and the people knew it because of her smile. She also loved dogs. DD felt a great connection to her Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. She was always writing her testimony to others and visiting with people that needed some comfort. DD had a great love of the missionaries and would feed them every day if she could. Some of her favorite memories were the time she spent on her mission in Arizona. DD's normal day consisted of writing letters, texting friends, looking at wedding rings online, listening to scriptures, drawing, crochet, looking at wedding dresses online, YouTube, Netflix, and Living Scriptures. She loved to travel, plant flowers, garden, meet with friends, shop, and look for geodes or pretty rocks.
A Graveside service will be held for family and close friends on Friday May 7, 2021 at 11:00 at Clover Cemetery 266 S Johnson’s Lane, Rush Valley, Utah. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Go Fund Me account set up in her name.
