Our sweet, precious mother, and grandmother, Frances Myrle Barton Mellen passed away in New Harmony, UT. on Dec 22, 2018. She was born to Willard Barton and Ethel Christensen on January 10, 1927 in Axtell, UT. She lived in Utah most of her life except a 4-year stint in Northern California from 1964-68. She married the love of her life, Harvey Joseph Mellen, on October 30, 1943 in Evanston WY. They later moved to New Harmony, UT in 1996. She is a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints.
Myrle is survived by her brother David, daughter Pam, 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 5 great, great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, 9 siblings, her husband Joe, son Rick, and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Kanarraville LDS Ward Chapel. Interment will be in the Kanarraville Cemetery.
