Gail Marie Bennett (75) passed away on January 26, 2023 in Cedar City, UT. She had a soft spoken demeanor that demonstrated the peace she wished to maintain. She enjoyed quiet spaces where she could be herself, while also loving long conversations. She surrounded herself with the things that made her happy. Gail spent her career working with severely disabled youth. She enjoyed helping others and making a difference in their lives. Gail loved to read the news and discuss what she had read. Gail would always encourage others to have peaceful attitudes and enjoy each moment.


Gail Marie (Layne) Bennett was born on June 4, 1947 to Ella and Melvin Layne in Duncan, Canada. Gail is survived by her siblings (Melvin, Judy, Dorothy, and Ruth), her children (Brian, Brenda, Ted, Greg, Karen, and Linda), and 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents (Melvin and Ella Layne), her sister (Cheryl), and her sons (Kevin and Jason).
