Judy’s family moved from Indiana to Escondido, California. Judy graduated from Escondido High School. Shortly after graduation she married Larry Welburn. Together they had four children. Judy was a wonderful stay at home Mom, who loved to sew, bake amazing pies, play games, host parties, and read. She always kept a beautiful and welcoming home. They raised their family in the rolling hills of Fallbrook, California. They later divorced.
Judy fulfilled a dream of owning her own frozen yogurt shop. She later sold that business and continued her career as a dental office manager. It was during this time period she met, and fell in love with, David Guertler. Judy and David married in 1991. They were sealed a year later in the San Diego Temple. They had many wonderful adventures together.
She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Judy served in many callings throughout her life in the church, from multiple Relief Society Presidencies to Gospel Doctrine Teacher. One of her greatest joys was serving as a World Wide indexing missionary. She loved Family History work. She had a strong testimony and deep love for her Savior Jesus Christ.
