Obituary for Judy Rae Brown

Judy Rae Brown, age 73, passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 after a battle with a multitude of illnesses ending with late stage ovarian cancer. She remained strong until the very end. Judy was born in Salem California to Harry Pearson and Ruby Jewell Drake on April 23, 1948.
Judy grew up around San Diego California. She spent most of her time around horses. She received a bachelors degree from San Diego State University and went onto work for The Department of Defense, the United States government. Judy met the love of her life Robert A. Brown one night at a country western bar in Norco California where they danced the night away. Bob and Judy were married November 19, 1989. Together they traveled the states while Judy chased her dreams of being a champion barrel racer. Judy won thousands of dollars, saddles, buckles, trophies and more she trained and rode some of the finest bread quarter horses there were at the time. Bob and Judy moved to New Harmony Utah in 2018 so they could be near some of Bob‘s family.
Judy was preceded in death by both parents Harry and Ruby. She is survived by her husband Robert A. Brown, nephews “Butch” Forest Wright, Cliff Wright, Greg Hardacker and Mark Hardacker nieces, Michelle Tomlinson and Kelly Jackson
Funeral services for Judy will be held Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 2 PM with a graveside service at the Cedar City Cemetery(North West corner) under the direction of Affordable Funeral Services (435)586-3456 followed by a gathering at the home of Bob and Judy Brown in New Harmony Utah
