Kevin Stubbs Truman passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Parowan, Utah on April 14, 2020 at the age of 65. Kevin was born on September 11, 1954 in Cedar City, Utah to Elmer J. and Lyla Stubbs Truman. Kevin lived and went to school in Parowan until he was 11. His family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where he completed his education.
Kevin returned to Parowan where he was able to enjoy his hobbies and quiet time in the mountains. He loved to hunt, fish, fly RC airplanes, ham radio, and wood turning. Kevin worked at Gore Manufacturing and Valley View Medical Center as a floor maintenance specialist. After retirement he enjoyed many happy hours with the southern Utah Wood Turners Association and the Southern Utah Ham Radio Club. Kevin was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served as a faithful home teacher and assistant ward clerk for many years. Kevin loved to do temple and family history work.
Kevin leaves behind his mother, Lyla S. Truman, one sister Margaret (David) Yardley, one brother Nolan (Judy) Truman, nieces and nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer J. Truman. Kevin was always thinking of other people and loved to share his many talents with them. We love you Kevin.

Because of the Covid-19 quarantine, a private family graveside service will be held on Wednesday April 22, 2020 at 12:00 pm at the Parowan City Cemetery under the direction of Affordable Funeral Services.

I had the pleasure of working with Kevin for almost ten years at Cedar City Hospital and enjoyed his kind mannerisms and positiveness. We have fond memories of playing practical jokes on Kevin and his easy-going responses, which made it even funnier. He always dropped by the hospital to say hi to me and the crew even after his retirement. His woodworking skills always amazed me and I have an engraved bowl with my name on it that I continue to treasure. You will be missed Kevin. Thanks for the good memories.
