Obituary for Loretta Raimonda Coleman

Loretta (Raimonda) Coleman, age 79, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2021, in Cedar City, Utah. She was born on August 2, 1941 in Queens, New York, to Joseph and Francis (Ardi) Raimonda.
Loretta was raised in Queens, New York where she enjoyed a beautiful childhood with her parents and two brothers. Loretta was a fabulous chef. In her early years, she learned to cook from her mother and father at their family restaurant, “The Cat’s Meow.” In 1968, she was married and later moved to Las Vegas, NV. She worked hard with the culinary union and took great pride in raising her three strong boys. In her later years, she found great satisfaction when she became a “Mema.” Her grandchildren stole her heart, and she loved her family fiercely.
Loretta also had a great love for animals. She had many pets throughout her life who were always counted among “the humans.” She could often be found relaxing with her beloved dogs at her side while watching The Sopranos.
Her community will remember Loretta for her great generosity, unfailing patience, and forgiving nature.
Loretta is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Coleman, Jeanine Carter, John Coleman and Tracy Coleman. She is also survived by her brother, Charlie Raimonda, 8 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Joseph Raimonda, her late husband, Gerard Michael “Gery” Coleman and her son, Keith Coleman. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held on February 20, 2021 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Cedar City, UT. The service will begin at 2:00 p.m.
