Lyle Dale Schanbeck was born in Clark, S.Dakota on March 29th 1941. He was the son of Harold and Mary (Oldfield) Schanbeck. He had 6 sisters and 1 brother. He was preceded in death by both parents, his brother Clifford and sisters Lucile, Viola, Loris, Marilyn and Step-son Ronald. He is survived by his sisters Helen and Louise as well as 4 daughters, 1 stepdaughter and 2 step-sons. His legacy also leaves 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Lyle met his beloved wife Karen (Clark) in 1971 and they were married for 49 years until her death in March 2018. They were sealed in the Arizona Mesa Temple. Lyle was a man of many talents and raising horses was his passion. He was a hard worker and was well liked by his friends due to his easy going nature and contagious humor. He and Karen moved to Cedar City Utah in 2004 and were members of the Three Peaks Ward where Lyle served as a high priest. His internment is December 19, 2022 at the Enoch City Cemetery at 2 pm where he will be laid to rest next to his eternal wife Karen. He will truly be missed by his friends and family.
