Obituary for Lyle Werner Wiseman

Lyle Werner Wiseman passed away on December 11, 2021 peacefully at his home in Milford, Utah at the age of 91. He was born on March 11, 1930 in Kimberly, Idaho to Carr Wiseman and Louise Werner. He grew up working in the fields raising wheat, beans, alfalfa and hauling potatoes. He graduated high school in Jerome, Idaho and was then drafted into the army at the age of 21. He fought in the front lines during the Korean War for 2 years where he was wounded. He received two Bronze Service Stars and a United Nations Service Medal.
When he returned home from the military many of his friends had been killed in both World War II and the Korean War. He married Mary Connelly and together they had two sons, Jeff and Scott. They moved to the Milford Valley in 1954. Lyle and his brother Wayne carried on the family tradition of farming and added cement mixing. In 1976, Lyle bought the farming operation and Wayne took over the ready mix business. As times got tough, his determination and grit got him through several hard years working long days on the farm with no profit. His determination prevailed and he eventually turned it into a very successful farming operation. Lyle and his posterity have continued to farm in the valley since then. He was so proud of his farm and the life he built for his family.
Along the way, he was blessed with another wife, Nancy, son, Jesse, as well as a beautiful daughter, Kellie. On June 27, 1998 he married the love of his life, Janice Bell. They enjoyed the last 23 years together.
Lyle was preceded in death by his parents Carr and Louise Wiseman, brother Don Wiseman, son Jeff (Punk) Wiseman. He is survived by his wife, Janice Wiseman; children, Scott Wiseman (Milford, UT); Jesse Wiseman (Salt Lake City, UT); Kellie (Jeremy) Sligar (Twin Falls, ID); 8 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren and his brother Wayne Wiseman.
A viewing will be held at the Milford LDS Church on Saturday, December 18 from 10:00-11:30. Interment will be at the Milford City Cemetery following the viewing.
The family would like to thank the staff at Milford Clinic and Hospital and Beaver Valley Home Health for the wonderful care they provided.
