Obituary for Matthew Allen Bird
Matthew Allen Bird, age 42, passed away peacefully, due to renal failure on August 3, 2022, in Cedar City, Utah. He was born February 9,1980 to Melvin Eugene and Debra Bird.
Matt was raised in the Denver and Pueblo, Colorado areas. He graduated from Aurora Central High School in 1998. He married Heather Anne Goldsworthy on November 13, 2004, and they lived in Cedar City, Utah. Matt worked at Deseret Industries, and Hollywood Video-he loved helping customers and always helped them get just the right movie. When his health declined, he became unable to work but he could still help his neighbors with technology problems and was lovingly named “Tech Support”. He loved computers, movies, video games, and electronics. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Matt was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He is survived by his wife, Heather, their loving dog Duffy, siblings, Eric (Jenn) Gertson, Terry Gertson, and Anthony (Valerie Garcia) Bird. 5 nephews, 13 nieces and several Aunts and Uncles. He will be missed by his in-laws, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday August 13, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Cedar Stake Center 155 E. 400 S. Cedar City Utah. Family and Friends may call at the church from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the service. Interment will be at the Cedar City Cemetery.
