Who was Patty Holland

Patty was a person with a great heart and such a love for animals big and small. She started her life when I was ten years old, so there was quite a bit of difference in our ages. She came into the world as a blessing too my parents as they didn't think they could have children. It was a welcome surprise. I don't think she ever sat still once she was walking, she was always on the run, usually getting into something she wasn't supposed to. She was married briefly to a young man, Tony, that she met in school and then after their divorce she met her soul mate, Brian Holland! There was never a more gentle soul than Brian. Patty and Brian loved Disneyland and Yosemite National Park. They visited as often as they could and she had all of the souveniers to prove i!. As years went by, they bought a townhouse and they lived there while she worked at the Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas and Brian worked as a sous chef. Their life was a happy one with their dogs, they had pit bulls that were wonderful animals, and their usually five or six cats. I thiink the cats were her favorite. Unfortunately, Patty had a stroke about six years ago and she could no longer work. Brian took such good care of her, he was very devoted to her and continued to care for her until he passed away in January of 2014 . He passed from complications from Diabetes. She of course was broken hearted and so I brought her up to Cedar City to be close to me. She was a resident of Bella Terra, formerly Kolob, and involved herself in everything available. She met Lance, a long time resident of Bella Terra, and they became room mates. They had a love of music and history of Las Vegas, Nevada in common and enjoyed each other's company. Lance too, loved Patty and made sure she had coffee and her glasses and phone every day. She spent the rest of her time with a lovely lady, Anna, whom she laughed with every day. I have to say I miss all the phone calls I got during the day and never thought that she would pass so quickly. I was with her as she peacefully joined her mother and father Phyllis and Ray Moore, and her husband of 28 years Brian Holland. When packing her things there were so many memories of the life she had, the collections, the pictures that she colored, and all the memorabelia that she had collected. It's amazing how much fits in ione side of a hospital type room. She will be missed for her love of people, her fiestyness, and just being my sister. God Bless her.
