Patricia Rae Sherman, age 89, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, July 17, 2022. She was born on March 8, 1933, in Beaver, Utah to John Edward and Esther Marie Duche Patterson.
At the age of 10 her family moved to Boulder City, Nevada, where her dad worked on the Hoover Dam. While still in high school she began working for the telephone company and met and married Max O. Reid. They had two daughters together, Linda and Kathy Reid. They moved to Henderson, Nevada and were later divorced.
She then began working for the Henderson Police Department where she met and married Martin A. Sherman and together they were sealed in the Las Vegas Temple. Marty and Pat opened a lock shop which they ran together. She also worked for a travel agency and later a title company. After Pat and Marty retired, they moved to Cedar City, Utah and enjoyed all that Cedar had to offer.
Pat was active in the Lions Club and DUP. Of all her many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints she loved working in the Temple the most.
Pat is preceded in death by her sisters Lois Tolton, Betty Gillins, Carol Vukovich and her husband Martin A. Sherman. She is survived by her two daughters Linda and Kathy Reid.
Viewing services will be held on Wednesday July 27, 2022, at Heartlight Affordable Funeral Services, from 11:00-11:45am. Interment will be at the Cedar City Cemetery following the viewing. Services are under the direction of Heartlight Affordable Funeral Services, 2002 North Main Street #7 Cedar City, Utah (435-586-3456).
