Obituary

Timothy Edward Ebersole passed away on Thursday, January 09, 2020 at home in the presence of family and friends. He was born in Madras, India in 1954 to James A. and Joan G. Ebersole. Tim’s childhood years were spent in India, Venezuela, Mexico City, and eventually back to the USA in Indiana and Texas. He graduated first in his High School class from Saint Joseph’s Academy, Brownsville, Texas and subsequently received a BSME and Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University, Houston, Texas. There he also participated in the water polo and swim teams. Tim took a research position with Bell labs in New Jersey and after many years there moved back to his hometown area of south Texas to work at Trico Industries and teach at Pan American University. At that time he met and married Susan Zorn and began raising their three daughters, Caylee, Sharleena, and Jasmine in Brownsville, Texas where they ran a medical office consulting business. Tim eventually accepted a position with Southwest Applied Technology College in southern Utah to develop a curriculum for course work in solar and wind power.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sue Zorn Ebersole, and three amazing daughters, Caylee, Sharleena, Jasmine, the family currently resides in Cedar City, Utah. Services are planned for Saturday January 11 at the Presbyterian Church, Nichols Canyon Rd, Cedar City. Viewing and a memorial service will be at 3:00 pm.
